RING STRUCTURE WITHIN THE WALL OF THE INGUINAL HERNIA SAC IN CHILDREN AND ITS ROLE IN THE OCCURENCE OF INCARCERATION

Abstract

Inguinal hernia operation is one of the most frequently used operational attempts on children. Its occurrence frequency ranges between 0,8 % and 4 %. It is stated that 12-17% of the inguinal hernia in infants are incarcerated and 30 % of them are encountered under the age of 1. Incarceration of inguinal hernia in children are caused by the external and internal inguinal rings and even it is claimed that it is the only one. The study aims to demonstrate the presence of a fibrous ring structure within the wall of the sacs of inguinal hernia in the patients who are operated because of the incarcerated inguinal hernia and its structure and importance in the development of incarceration.
